• Marital Status:  Happily married and has been blessed with three children.
  

Current Positions

• Member of the Executive Council (MEC) of the Eastern Cape Department of Education (ECDoE) since 01 November 2010.
• Member of the Eastern Cape Provincial Legislature since 1999.
• Member of the African National Congress.
  

Academic Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree from Walter Sisulu University (previously University of Transkei).
• Higher Diploma in Education from Walter Sisulu University (previously University of Transkei).

Career/Memberships/Positions/Other Activities

• He taught for a number of years.
• Involved in Rugby, Soccer and Boxing.
• Committed to making a contribution to the emancipation of the poor and the disadvantaged of the Eastern Cape especially the poor child, prioritizing access and improvement of the people.
• Served in various structures of the ANC.
• Led the Communists as the Provincial Secretary.
• Served in a number of Committees in the Eastern Cape Provincial Legislature
• Served as a Portfolio Chairperson in the Office of the Premier.
