Chief Directorate

Statutory and Advisory & Protocol Services

Purpose: To tender legal and parliamentary advisory services and communicate Effectively with stakeholders

Function:

• The rendering of legal and contract management services
• The rendering of overall ministerial and parliamentary services
• The provisioning of support to all statutory advisory councils and boards established in terms of legislation
• The facilitation of community involvement in education
• Co-ordination of the official publications of the department
• The provisioning of editing and translation services with regards to all departmental communication
• Providing a customer care service for the public
• Promote campaigns and manage all official departmental events
• Promote the departments corporate image and branding
• Monitoring all Special Transformation Programmes and Child Affairs Desk
