MEC congratulates ECD graduates

The Department of Education held a Graduation Ceremony for Grade R Practitioners at the East London Orient Theatre.
The ceremony, which started at 13:00 was dedicated to all Early Childhood Development Practitioners belonging to the Department’s Cluster B which includes schools in Amathole, Chris Hani and parts of Inxuba Yethemba Municipalities.
This occasion comes at a crucial time for ECD Practice as it is against the backdrop of the Honourable Premier’s announcement in the State of the Province Address, of increased funding and additional staffing for this particular programme. MEC Johnny Makgato also made an important announcement about Grade R.
