Angie Motshekga to address 2011 Schools Choral Eisteddfod

The Minister of Basic Education, Angie Motshekga will on Friday 06 July 2012 deliver an address at the 11th Annual South African Schools Coral Eisteddfod (SASCE) National Championships.
The South African National Schools Coral Eisteddfod is one of the foremost contributions of the DBE towards social cohesion and nation building. Through the domain of choral music we aim to raise the standard of education for all our children.

If we want to improve or raise the standard of education through choral music: the Department should innitiate a standard where the songs composed for choral music at schools relate to the subjects which are done at schools, (e.g. we should have a song which relate to Biology, Maths, English, Physical Science) and in that way the level of education for the youth can really improve.
