The launch of My 2010 Schools Adventure an initiative to lure South Africa citizens has gained momentum as thus schools across the racial dived have adopted countries and also parents are participating country wide supporting the 2010 FIFA World Cup to be hosted in South Africa in less than hundred days.

Building a solid foundation and career pathing through school sport was the theme of the three-day School Sport Indaba recently held at Mphekweni Beach Resort hosted by the Eastern Cape Department of Education (ECDoE)in collaboration with the EC Department of Sport, Recreation, Arts and Culture.

Mild relief as ECDoE records a slight but positive improvement in 2009 Matric Results

Announcing the results during a media briefing in East London on the 7th January 2010, provincial Education MEC Mahlubandile Qwase noted approvingly the increase from 2008’s 50.6% to 51.1% in 2009.
