The construction of the school has also seen community members receiving skills transfer as they were employed in the construction process of this school. The R2 million worth school’s construction started in 2011.

EC to host schools national athletics championship
About 80 level two and International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) technical officials from the Eastern Cape Education department (DoE) will officiate the national high school athletics championships to be held in East London, at the Jan Smuts Athletics stadium from the 20th – 23rd March 2013.
