Last Friday, the 3rd of March 2012 saw the launch of a campaign headed by Cecilia Osei-Adagwa aimed at curbing drug abuse in the school.

The Eastern Cape Department of Education (ECDoE) in partnership with the Nedbank foundation launched the first leg of the Nedbank Back-to-School campaign on Friday, 2 March 2012 at De Vos Malan School in King William’s Town, where 9 schools benefited, with 200 learners receiving school uniforms, shoes and stationery.

Cradock tops Eastern Cape Matric Results

The Eastern Cape got a result of 58.1%, which was a mere .02% decrease from the 2010 matric results. Despite many major factors, the results were consistent and stabilized in comparison to the previous year’s results.

Modidima Mannya convened a meeting with the School Governing Bodies (SGBs) of 15 schools in Alice that have been adversely affected by the teacher work stoppage, that, they claim, is as a result of the Department's interdict against 14 South African Democratic Teachers Union (SADTU) members.
