Dr Charles Wilson a facilitator for "Addressing Bullying at Schools" from the Centre of Justice and Crime Prevention said: “Give learners the opportunity to create a programme for anti-bullism, they speak the language and they experience the bullying first hand, involve the learners directly.”

Education Department trains peace activits
The Eastern Cape department of education (ECDoE) in collaboration with Umtapo centre embarks in programmers that bring back ubuntu/ humanity. This is a deliberately planned and sustained effort to nip in the bud all kinds of corruption, bullism and substance abuse in schools and communities at large.

Queenstown school walked away with a trophy

Working towards a national prize of R2000 savings plan per learner, a school from each district in the Eastern Cape gathered at the East London Education Leadership Institute in East London to compete in the Provincial Quiz Competition Programme on the 21 June 2012.

The Eastern Cape’s Department of Education’s acting Head of Department, Mthunywa Ngonzo, accompanied by the Department’s Strategic Leadership Management Committee, convened a high-spirited meeting this morning, wherein he formally welcomed a number of officials who had been suspended, for periods ranging between 2 years or less.
