The revitalisation of primary school health care is well on its way for learners, and is ready to target 1.5 million learners nationally, this financial year 2012/2013, as opposed to the already remarkable 250 thousand learners that were reached in the last financial year.

School rationalisation and re-alignment programme gains momentum

A plan by the Eastern Cape department of education to change the current school configuration in the former Transkei region through holding public hearings for ‘schools rationalisation and re-alignment’ programme started smoothly at the Engcobo education district.

First week of EC schooling still well
A three–day- visit to some of the Eastern Cape schools as part of the department’s ‘back to school campaign’ has also helped to rally the citizens and communities around provincial education since it (education) is a societal matter.
