Application for certificates/Teachers Diploma

Description
You are issued a matriculation (matric) certificate when you pass Grade 12. A matric certificate may be re-issued to people whose matric certificates have been lost, stolen or damaged or to people who have changed their surnames.

Steps to follow
  • Apply in person at Assessment and Examinations Office in King William’s Town.
  • Bring originally certified copy of your Identity Document (ID) together with a Postal Order of a R35 from Post Office.
  • Provide details of where and when you wrote your examinations, including the following:
    • Year
    • Province
    • School or examination centre
    • Your examination number

South African Schools Act, 1996 (Act 84 of 1996)

It may take 2 to 4 weeks.

Application forms are available from Assessment and Examinations Office in King William’s Town.
